Pojo Pride

On September 20th Springtown hosted its annual Wild West Festival. Although it cannot be compared to the Great Frederick Fair, there was a fair share of locals, and we will leave it at that. We made it to the square just before the parade. This was Wesley’s first parade and he did very well. His favorite attraction was not the endless truck trailers of cheerleaders (I lost count after 11 or so groups passed), but the big red fire truck. He likes red. Overall it was a nice festival, but I still don’t understand why they don’t let the public taste the BBQ cook off entries.

Were there tractors and baby bacons like at the Frederick Fair? Someday you'll have to bring Wesley here for it. We will have to bathe him in Purel afterwards, but it'll still be fun.

no tractors or pigs in the parade, but I think there was pig in the BBQ cook off - yum!

Mmm, even better! I suppose it would be kind of morbid to have pigs in the parade and also in the food...this coming from the girl who ate a pit beef sandwich before going to find the cows at the fair.
