Introducing Cassie

Cassie was born 1/8/1011 at 6:38 am after being induced because of very low fluid from 2 centimeters dilated. Labor was 17 hours long start to finish with only 15-20 mins of pushing. There was a 2 plus hour regress when my first epidural didn't work and the pitocin was dripping on the floor instead of in me. Larry caught the puddle on the floor, but since I was still contracting they stopped the pitocin, however the contractions became more mild to non existent. That is when we figured out the first epi didn't work and started over.

Before the new pitocin was given I received my second epi and was pain free! The worst part was not eating or drinking for a little over 24 hours!

Cassie weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces and was 17 inches long.

Daddy's new daddy gift. These books are awesome!

As always, the day I'm discharged there is inclement weather. High winds and tornadoes for Wesley, snow for Cassie.

Waiting for the car.

Explain to me how it is that you just gave birth, and yet your hair still looks cute and shiny? Mine would be a frizzy mess.

Love the squirrel books, too ;-)
